Matt Confer provides legal counsel for clients in all corporate areas from inception to exit as well as advising lenders and investors in due diligence, transactional structuring, documenting, negotiating and closing of secured debt and equity financing transactions. In addition to his financing practice, Matt also enjoys working with individuals and companies with regards to business succession and general estate planning issues focusing particular attention on multigenerational planning for high-net worth families and situs planning to structure sales transactions and long-term investment planning.
Matt received a B.A. in Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan University, his M.B.A from the University of San Francisco’s Masagung School of Management, and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco. Matt is licensed to practice law in California and Wyoming.
Prior to founding RPK3 Law, Matt was an attorney at the Jackson, Wyoming office of Long Reimer Winegar Beppler LLP focusing on corporate transactions and estate planning. Prior to joining Long Reimer Winegar Beppler LLP, Matt worked in senior finance roles for emerging technology and sustainable seafood companies in the San Francisco Bay Area where he specialized in long-term financial planning raising significant amounts of debt and equity while creating stable financial foundations to enable future growth.
In addition to his role as attorney, Matt serves as a director of over 20 corporations located throughout the United States primarily in the commercial real estate development and management and quick service restaurant industries.
Matt is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues, California Bar Association, Wyoming Bar Association and Teton County Bar Association.
